Baghdad: The Najaf Police Command announced that a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance will take place this evening in one of the districts of the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the official police statement detailed that the Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit was set to conduct a limited detonation of unexploded ordnance in the Albu Hadari area. This location is near the Imam Ali Bridge in the Kufa district. The statement emphasized that the announcement was made for public awareness and safety.

The detonation operation is a part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety by clearing areas of potentially dangerous war remnants. Residents in the vicinity have been informed in advance to avoid any potential alarm during the controlled explosion.
