Baghdad: The head of the National Nahj Alliance, Abdul Hussein al-Moussawi, met today, Thursday, with the head of the State of Law parliamentary bloc, Yasser al-Maliki, to discuss the importance of turning electoral promises into action plans within the ministerial program.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the National Nahj Alliance's media office stated that "the head of the National Nahj Alliance received the head of the State of Law parliamentary bloc, Yasser al-Maliki, accompanied by the governor of Diyala, Adnan al-Shammari, and a number of coalition members."
The statement explained that the meeting addressed the most prominent developments on the national scene, particularly in political, security, and economic affairs, in addition to developments in the regional environment.
It indicated that "both sides emphasized the necessity of continuing dialogue among the various political forces within the national framework to resolve outstanding issues within the constitutional deadlines, as well as the importance of turning electoral promises into action plans within the ministerial program and the details of the government program."
