Baghdad: The National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi met with Sheikh Dr. Humam Hamoudi, the head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, to discuss the latest developments in the country.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the National Security Advisory released a statement highlighting the discussion’s focus on supporting the government’s efforts to consolidate security and stability in Iraq. The meeting emphasized the preservation of achievements in the political, security, and service sectors.

Both leaders underscored the importance of backing Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zubaidi’s government program. They asserted that the program is designed to enhance citizens’ trust in the state and reinforce the comprehensive reform process initiated by the government. The discussions also highlighted the necessity of placing national interests first through political cooperation and integration, aiming to positively influence the fulfillment of the Iraqi people’s aspirations.
