National Security Advisor Reaffirms Iraq’s Stance Against Syrian Terrorist Activities.

Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji confirmed Iraq’s position rejecting what is happening in Syria by those terrorist groups. The Chancellery said in a statement: “Al-Araji met in his office today with the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, and during the meeting, the latest developments in the region were discussed, especially what is happening in neighboring Syria of terrorist operations by organizations classified by the United States of America as terrorist groups, as Al-Araji confirmed Iraq’s position rejecting what is happening in Syria by those terrorist groups.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Araji stressed the need to respect the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon in accordance with Resolution 1701, noting that the collapse of the agreement will have serious repercussions on Lebanon and the region. For her part, the US Ambassador confirmed that the United States is not with the chaos happening in Syria by terrorist groups, noting that these terrorist acts threaten the
security and stability of the region and the world.
