Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi received a phone call from the NATO Assistant Secretary General for Operations, confirming that brotherly and friendly countries are keen to invest in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the conversation, al-Aboudi emphasized the eagerness of friendly and allied nations to invest in Iraq, driven by the Iraqi government's proposed economic liberalization plans. He highlighted the international community's support for Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zubaidi's government, recognizing his comprehensive vision for leading Iraq. The international community is also seeking to strengthen relations with NATO, acknowledging its crucial role in training, capacity building, and advising the Iraqi military and security forces.

Al-Aboudi further mentioned that there are attempts to drag Iraq into conflicts that do not align with the country's interests. However, the Iraqi government remains focused on consolidating stability and creating sustainable development to improve the national situation.

The NATO Assistant Secretary General for Operations announced that the next round of the high-level diplomatic dialogue is scheduled to take place in Brussels next October. The discussions will focus on enhancing partnership and cooperation with Iraq.
