Tel aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed for Washington to engage in discussions with US President Donald Trump, leaving behind unresolved decisions concerning the red lines of the Gaza deal.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hebrew media reported on Sunday that Netanyahu’s departure comes without a firm decision on the constraints of the Gaza agreement. Israeli Channel 13, referencing sources within the ministerial cabinet, disclosed that Netanyahu shows flexibility regarding the army’s withdrawal and is open to pulling back from the Gaza Strip to a defined area, as well as on humanitarian issues.

The sources further revealed that Netanyahu is portraying the conclusion of the war, at least to the ministers, as a non-negotiable red line. This development comes in the wake of an announcement by Hamas last Friday indicating their readiness to enter into negotiations “immediately” concerning the US-backed ceasefire proposal in the Gaza Strip, which has been facilitated by Qatari and Egyptian mediators.
