Diyala: A female instructor from the Faculty of Sports Sciences in Diyala has been chosen to head the Women’s Committee in the Iraqi Football Association. Nibras Kamel Hidayat, a lecturer at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Diyala University, has been appointed to this significant position.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Marwa Khalid Jihad, Director of Media at the College of Physical Education, stated that Hidayat’s selection is a culmination of her academic and athletic career. This appointment showcases the esteemed position of the faculty at Diyala University and their role in advancing the Iraqi sports movement and promoting women’s participation in various sports fields.

The Dean of the College, Uday Abdul Hussein, emphasized that Hidayat’s appointment will contribute to further achievements in women’s football in Iraq. This move aligns with the aspirations of the Iraqi Football Association and aims to bolster the presence of women’s sports both locally and internationally.
