Baghdad The Iranian Mehr Agency said that at least 9 people were injured in an explosion, which was followed by a fire at a chemical and fireworks factory in the central province of Isfahan on Sunday morning.
The Agency quoted Abbas Abdi, a spokesman for the medical emergency in Isfahan, as saying that: The cause of the explosion at the Sepahan Nargostar chemical plant is still under investigation.
Abidi pointed out that the emergency service was informed of the accident in Isfahan Governorate at dawn today, Sunday.
He explained that the accident occurred in the city of Shaheenshahr, adding that 4 emergency vehicles, an ambulance bus and two Red Crescent cars were sent to assist in the accident.
He indicated that the wounded were transferred to Goldis Shaheenshahr Hospital for treatment.
