Nineveh: Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil has announced the completion of procedures to include 15,000 dunams of land as part of the province’s contribution to the million residential land plots initiative. This effort is being carried out in coordination with the Higher Committee for Coordination between Provinces to ensure the provision of serviced residential land, thereby fostering urban expansion in Nineveh.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Dakhil stated that “the meeting held in Baghdad discussed the lands nominated by the province in implementation of Cabinet Resolution No. 332 of 2026.” He further explained that an agreement was reached to incorporate 15,000 dunams after fulfilling the necessary data and documentation requirements. These steps are set to finalize within the week, which is expected to expedite the initiative’s implementation and provide housing opportunities for citizens.
