Nineveh Governor Engages with Prime Minister’s Advisor on Sinjar District Challenges

Nineveh: The Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil, engaged in discussions with the Prime Minister's Advisor, Dr. Khalaf Sinjari, alongside the Director General of the General Directorate for Survivors' Affairs, Sarab Elias Barakat. The meeting, which included the Director of Nineveh Municipalities, Engineer Raad al-Hadidi, and the Director of the Right Bank Real Estate Registration, Muhammad Ramadan, centered on addressing several service and organizational issues pertaining to Sinjar District.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Governor al-Dakhil highlighted that the discussions focused on assessing the current state of services available to Sinjar District residents. The talks explored avenues to enhance service projects, aiming to support stability and foster conditions conducive to the return of more families. Additionally, the meeting deliberated on strategies to overcome the challenges impeding reconstruction and infrastructure development in the area.

Al-Dakhil further stated that the meeting examined the matter of land belonging to survivors in the Nineveh Governorate. There was an emphasis on the necessity to devise legal and organizational solutions to secure their rights, contributing to housing stability for the survivors. This initiative aligns with the government's broader efforts to support this group and address the repercussions of the violations they have endured in recent years.
