Mosul: The governor of Nineveh has announced the initiation of a housing project in Mosul, funded by the European Union. Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil launched the “Building a Just and Inclusive Transformation” (BEIT) project, which is set to transform the housing landscape in the city.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Dakhil stated that the project involves the construction of 100 affordable housing units and a center for green building technology. This initiative is a collaboration between the European Union and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), working in conjunction with the Nineveh local government.

The project’s primary goal is to provide affordable housing options and to advance the use of green building technologies in Mosul. This development marks a significant step towards infrastructure improvement and sustainable living conditions in the region.
