Nineveh Police Forces Arrest Drug Dealer with 4,000 Narcotic Pills


Nineveh: The Nineveh Police Directorate announced the arrest of a drug dealer found in possession of a large quantity of narcotic pills. This arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and track down dealers within the governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source from the Nineveh police stated that the anti-narcotics division detachments of the directorate, relying on accurate intelligence information and field follow-up, successfully apprehended an individual accused of drug trafficking. The arrest took place in one of the neighborhoods on the left coast of Mosul, with the suspect found possessing 4,000 narcotic pills of the type Captagon, which were prepared for promotion and distribution.



The police source further noted that the suspect was arrested under Article 28 of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law and has been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the investigations.
