North Korean Leader Oversees Strategic Cruise Missile Test with Daughter

Pyongyang: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, accompanied by his daughter Ju-ae, oversaw the test launch of strategic cruise missiles from the destroyer Choe Hyon over the Yellow Sea, emphasizing the strengthening of the country's "reliable nuclear deterrent."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the test coincided with the start of the joint South Korea-US military exercises, "Freedom Shield," which Pyongyang denounces as preparations for invasion. Kim confirmed the success of the integrated command and control systems of the 5,000-ton destroyer, which is equipped with hypersonic cruise missiles and tactical ballistic missiles.

Kim also ordered the construction of a third destroyer of the same class by October 10, the anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea.
