Baghdad: North Oil Company has announced its readiness to commence oil receiving operations at pumping station IT1A via the (40) knot pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, urging supporting parties to complete their procedures. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company has finalized all technical and engineering requirements necessary to initiate the process through the strategic pipeline connecting the Kirkuk oil fields to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, known as the old pipeline, which has a diameter of 46 inches.

The announcement was made by the company's Director General, Engineer Faisal Hammadi Ramadan, who confirmed the company's complete readiness to start operations. Initially, the process will involve filling the 40-inch pipeline to deliver crude oil to the station. This will be followed by pumping through the 46-inch pipeline to carry out a full-load trial run, which will be conducted in coordination with relevant authorities. The IT1A station is prepared to receive and pump between 300,000 to 350,000 barrels per day.

Engineer Ramadan emphasized that this initiative was part of the Ministry of Oil's efforts to rehabilitate the northern export system and enhance its operational readiness. He reiterated that the company, along with its technical and engineering staff, has completed all assigned tasks as per the approved plans, ensuring that all technical preparations are now complete. He also called on supporting companies to fulfill their contractual obligations with the North Oil Company.
