Kirkuk: The North Oil Company announced today the resumption of production at five oil wells in the Jambur field, located north of Kirkuk Governorate. This development comes after the company successfully addressed technical challenges that had previously hindered their operation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the wells that have resumed production are numbered 27, 42, 23, 20, and 69. These wells are part of the Jambur field, which has been a significant site in the early years of oil production in Kirkuk.

The company further stated that reopening these wells has increased the production capacity of Kirkuk Governorate by 2,500 barrels of crude oil per day. This increase brings the company’s total production to over 425,000 barrels per day.
