Baghdad: The Minister of Oil, Basim Mohammed Khudair al-Abadi, chaired a crucial meeting of the Crisis Cell on Thursday, emphasizing the need to enhance export capacities and accelerate the completion of ongoing projects. The meeting witnessed the participation of key figures from the ministry, including undersecretaries, advisors, and directors general from various oil sector formations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated in a press release that the discussion covered a range of critical agenda items. These included the supply of petroleum products to citizens, the electricity sector, and other relevant entities. The attendees also focused on the importance of increasing storage production capacities to bolster export operations and projects aimed at enhancing export capacity.

Additionally, the meeting highlighted the procedures necessary for implementing the economic model for petroleum product production and supply to beneficiaries. Discussions also centered around the Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) unit at the South Refineries Company and the essential need for maintaining continuous production at national refineries to satisfy domestic consumption requirements.
