Baghdad:Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi met with Yamada Tetsuya, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Japanese Embassy in Iraq, along with a Japanese delegation, to discuss joint cooperation and the mechanisms for launching the FCC project.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting included representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), led by Uchida Kumiko, and a delegation from the Japanese company JGC. Ministry Advisor Hamid Younis was also present during these discussions.

The discussions focused on reviewing the stages and procedures necessary for commencing operations on the FCC project. They also explored the coordination and cooperation mechanisms between the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, the Japanese entities, and the executing company. The objective is to advance the project towards operation by utilizing advanced Japanese expertise and technologies.
