Baghdad:The Reconstruction and Development Bloc has voiced its support for the Ministry of Oil, highlighting that the Ministry secures about 92 percent of Iraq’s revenue.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Bahaa al-Araji, a member of the Reconstruction and Development Bloc, emphasized the critical role of the Ministry of Oil during a press conference. He stated that oil is the sole source of revenue for Iraq’s budget, essential for all citizens from Zakho to Basra.

Al-Araji also noted a recent meeting with the Minister of Oil, Mohammed Bassem Khudair, where it was revealed that oil production has reached or exceeded 3 million barrels per day. This marks a return to near-normal export levels, achieved through new outlets established under the Minister€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¾¢s leadership.

Furthermore, the gasoline crisis in Iraq is reportedly being addressed, with two tankers carrying gasoline set to arrive, securing a strategic reserve to prevent future shortages. Al-Araji reassured the public of the Ministry’s plans to expand oil production and open new facilities.

Oil Minister Mohammed Khudair reiterated the Ministry’s significance to the country’s economy, acknowledging the support from several members of parliament.
