Oil Prices Decline After Reaching Six-Month Highs

New York:Oil prices experienced a decline on Monday following last week’s surge to nearly six-month highs. This decrease occurred despite ongoing supply concerns due to attacks on Saudi Arabia.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, U.S. crude futures saw a reduction of $2.14, or 2.07%, bringing the price to $101.13 per barrel by 0232 GMT. Similarly, Brent crude futures decreased by $2.12, or 1.82%, setting the price at $114.60.

The price increase last Friday was attributed to the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, which heightened worries about energy supply disruptions. As a result, Brent crude ended last week with a 6% increase, while West Texas Intermediate crude saw a rise of 2.3%.
