Old ISIS Hideout Destroyed Near Aisha Camp


Baqubah: A special security force has successfully destroyed an old ISIS hideout during a security operation in the vicinity of Aisha camp, located north of Baqubah, the center of Diyala Governorate. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to enhance security in the area.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was conducted by a special security force in the vicinity of Aisha camp, situated on the border between Salah al-Din and Diyala. During the operation, the forces seized and subsequently destroyed the ISIS hideout on site.



The security source highlighted that this operation is part of broader security efforts aimed at securing the border areas with Diyala. Aisha camp has historically been used as an infiltration point for ISIS cells over the past years. Securing this area is seen as a key step in preventing terrorist cells from establishing a presence in the region.
