Hilla: A man was killed and another injured in a fight that escalated into gunfire in the Al-Shomali district, south of Hilla.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Police media director Colonel Ammar Al-Shammari stated that a dispute over a car escalated into the use of bladed weapons, resulting in the immediate death of one man and injuries to another before police intervened.

He added that the body was transferred to the forensic medicine department and an investigation into the incident has been opened.
