Riyadh: The Iraqi Embassy in Saudi Arabia has announced the successful completion of procedures to receive Iraqi citizens arriving from New Delhi and Cairo. These citizens, who have been stranded, will be transported overland across the Arar border crossing to return to Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the embassy detailed the logistical arrangements, stating that Iraqi citizens will arrive at Arar Airport via Iraqi Airways flights. From there, they will be transferred by bus to the Arar border crossing before entering Iraqi territory. The embassy confirmed obtaining necessary approvals from Saudi authorities to facilitate this process and highlighted ongoing coordination with relevant parties to ensure the swift transfer of citizens.

The embassy expressed gratitude towards Saudi authorities for their cooperation and the expedited visa procedures at the border crossings, which have been crucial in facilitating the swift return of citizens. It was noted that the high flow of traffic at Gulf border crossings has been instrumental in granting transit visas to Iraqi citizens, allowing them to reach the Arar border crossing efficiently.
