Hillah: Security forces in the Babylon Governorate have arrested a group of Pakistani nationals during a strategic intelligence operation, as they mingled with crowds of pilgrims in the Umm Na'jah area - Scholars' Road - Al-Kifl District, located south of Hillah.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was conducted through a joint effort involving detachments from the Security and Intelligence Directorate, National Security, the Popular Mobilization Forces' Intelligence, and the National Intelligence Service. The suspects were apprehended, and their identities were verified. A search of their belongings uncovered military clothing adorned with the Popular Mobilization Forces' logo. Additionally, an examination of their mobile phones revealed photos of the individuals carrying medium-sized weapons and traveling in military vehicles while clad in military uniforms.
The source further stated that the individuals were handed over to the relevant judicial authorities to undertake the necessary legal proceedings against them. This action is part of ongoing security measures aimed at ensuring the safety of visitors and securing their travel routes.
