Gaza: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday called on the international community to take immediate and decisive measures to stop the Israeli war on Palestinian territories, warning of the dangers of plans aimed at completing the invasion of the Gaza Strip.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in an official statement, the ministry said it views “with utmost concern” the Israeli army’s approval of plans to reoccupy the historic city of Gaza in its entirety, a move that threatens the forced displacement of more than 900,000 Palestinians toward the south of the Strip and the destruction of remaining neighborhoods and vital facilities.

The statement added that pursuing such plans reveals “the true nature of Israel’s war, which targets the unity of Palestinian land and its legitimate institutions, while seeking to forcibly displace civilians and render the Gaza Strip uninhabitable.”

The ministry expressed appreciation for ongoing international efforts to establish a permanent ceasefire tha
t would prevent the implementation of Israeli plans, ensure the protection of civilians, and allow for the sustained and large-scale flow of humanitarian aid, paving the way for reconstruction efforts and the return of Gaza under the authority of legitimate Palestinian institutions, in line with the New York Declaration and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.
