Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament, Haybat al-Halbousi, affirmed on Saturday that the legislative body is committed to providing full support to the Iraqi Media Network on all levels. Al-Halbousi met with the head of the Iraqi Media Network, Karim Hammadi, to discuss the current state of media work in the country and ways to enhance joint cooperation, according to the Speaker's media office in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

According to Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, the Speaker emphasized "the paramount importance of developing media discourse to keep pace with current challenges, praising the pioneering role of the Iraqi Media Network." He stated that the legislative body is committed to providing comprehensive support to the network, particularly focusing on legal and moral support, to ensure it can fulfill its national mission with professionalism and independence.

In turn, the head of the Iraqi Media Network expressed his "appreciation for the support of the Presidency of the Parliament," stressing the network's commitment to its "national responsibilities and to continuing its media and professional role in covering events, in a way that serves the public interest and enhances the process of building and stability."
