Aqrah: Member of Parliament Salwan Taha, from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) bloc, announced on Sunday that the Iraqi Parliament has decided to open an office in the city of Aqrah, Duhok Governorate. He explained that this move aims to better address citizens’ concerns.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Taha stated, “We submitted a request to Parliament at the end of last month to open an office in Aqrah, and the Parliament approved our request a few days ago.”

“All the necessary equipment and the building for the office have been secured, and it is scheduled to be officially opened in the coming days,” he added.

Parliament informed us that there are several facilities available for citizens to review and utilize,” he noted.

“The main objective of this step is to directly hear the demands and problems of citizens and work to refer them as quickly as possible to Parliament and the relevant authorities in Baghdad,” he further explained.

Member of Parliament Salwan Taha clarified that in cooperation with MP Zirik Zebari, also from the KDP bloc, they submitted a formal request to the Speaker of Parliament to open an office in the city of Aqrah.
