Baghdad: The Parliamentary Committees on Health, Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, Security and Defense, and Legal Affairs held a joint meeting with relevant government agencies to discuss the first amendment to the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. (50) of 2017.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting reviewed draft proposals related to adding and amending several articles of the law. The aim is to refine the new draft and reach a comprehensive and applicable version. This process is in preparation for proceeding with the legislative procedures and submitting the amendment to a vote in the House of Representatives.
