Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Dr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani issued a parliamentary order appointing MP Dr. Youssef Ba’ir Al-Kalabi as Chairman of the Parliamentary Finance Committee. This appointment comes as Atwan Al-Atwani, the former chairman, takes on the new role of Governor of Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the transition in leadership within the committee is part of broader adjustments following Al-Atwani’s departure. Dr. Youssef Al-Kalabi, who is stepping into this influential role, is expected to guide the committee’s work on financial oversight and legislative matters related to the country’s budget and economic policies.
