Hillah: A joint operation by the National Security Service and Babylon Police led to the arrest of an individual found with over one million dinars in counterfeit currency in the Jablah district, north of Hillah. The arrest took place on Tuesday as the individual was reportedly attempting to distribute the counterfeit currency in the local market.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source within the force confirmed that the operation was a coordinated effort between the National Security Service and the Babil Police. The accused was caught with counterfeit currency, including 50,000 dinars, during the operation.
Subsequently, the police have transferred the accused to the relevant authorities for further investigation, and the counterfeit currency has been confiscated as part of the ongoing investigation.
