Busan: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the Iranian people will remain steadfast until their last breath in defense of their homeland, adding that “surrender is not in Iran’s dictionary.” Pezeshkian stressed that his country will not yield to international pressure regarding its nuclear program.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the European Troika (France, Britain, and Germany) reimposed UN sanctions on Iran on September 28, based on the trigger mechanism, which they announced the activation of on August 28.
Activating the “trigger mechanism” means implementing all sanctions against Tehran imposed by the UN Security Council between 2006 and 2010. This includes an arms embargo, an embargo on uranium enrichment and reprocessing, and a ban on missile programs capable of delivering nuclear weapons, a ban on technology transfers and technical assistance, and a targeted global asset freeze and travel ban on individuals and entities from Iran.
