Baghdad: PM Ali Al-Zaidi highlighted on Monday the importance of transitioning toward multidimensional relations with the Coalition countries. Al-Zaidi met with the Commander of German Forces Deployed Abroad, Gunter Schneider, and his accompanying delegation.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on bilateral relations between Iraq and Germany, exploring ways to strengthen and develop these ties in military and security fields through joint programs. The discussions aimed at contributing to the enhancement of performance and efficiency of the Iraqi Armed Forces.

Further, the meeting reviewed the preparations for completing the withdrawal of International Coalition forces from Iraq. The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of evolving towards multidimensional relations with the Coalition countries, acknowledging Germany’s significant role in assisting Iraq in its battle against terrorism, notably during the confrontation with Daesh terrorist organization.
