Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid to discuss the unification of national positions, support for the government, and preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's Media Office released a statement indicating that the meeting reviewed the latest developments in the country. The discussions underscored the importance of coordinating national forces' positions to bolster the government's program and plans aimed at achieving development and prosperity. Additionally, the leaders addressed regional issues and Iraq's role in enhancing security and stability in the region.

The statement further mentioned that both leaders focused on ongoing preparations for the upcoming electoral process. They highlighted the necessity of providing all necessary requirements to ensure the success of the elections and to encourage broad voter participation.
