PM chairs a security meeting in Diyala and directs to send military and security reinforcements to the province

Baghdad / NINA /- The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Al-Sudani, chaired a meeting of the security leaders in Diyala Governorate, which he arrived this afternoon, Wednesday, at the head of a military and government service delegation.

Al-Sudani directed, in a statement, to send military and security reinforcements to Diyala Governorate, and gave the security leaders two weeks to implement the law in all areas of the province.

He said, “Some people do not like the government’s approach to activating economic activity, and they are trying to occupy it with other details that are far from that.”

Al-Sudani added, “This file throughout Iraq receives great attention from the government, as it is a basis for social and economic stability, stressing his rejection of loose ends in the security file, and that the legal contexts take their course with those involved in disturbing security and the perpetrators of crimes in Diyala.”

The statement added, “Al-Sudani listened to a briefing on the conditions of the governorate and the efforts of the security forces to establish security and stability in all its districts and sub-districts. The meeting witnessed a discussion of the repeated security breaches witnessed by a number of the governorate’s areas, and the mechanisms to address them.”/ End
