NAJAF: A security operation was launched by the Second Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in collaboration with local security forces in the desert of Najaf, aimed at surveying and cleansing the area of potential threats.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation focused on thoroughly inspecting the desert’s depths and extended to the borders adjoining the deserts of Karbala and Muthanna. The mission’s primary objective was to locate any remnants of war linked to terrorist groups and to seal off security vulnerabilities that may allow terrorist movements through the Middle Euphrates region.

The Popular Mobilization Commission released a statement highlighting the strategic importance of this operation in preventing infiltration attempts by terrorist entities. By addressing these security gaps, the forces aim to bolster regional stability and safety.
