PMF Reaffirms Loyalty to Commander-in-Chief, Says Forces Deployed Across All Areas


Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Authority announced on Thursday that it had renewed its allegiance to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, affirming that its units remain deployed and present across all areas.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Director of PMF Media Muhannad Al-Aqabi stated during a press conference held at the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that ‘the PMF renews its allegiance to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.’ He emphasized that the PMF was the first state institution to announce the Sovereignty Day and the withdrawal of the international coalition forces. Al-Aqabi added that PMF media would celebrate the coalition’s withdrawal and the significant achievement accomplished by the government.

He further elaborated that the resistance factions played a major role and carried significant weight within the security institutions. Al-Aqabi noted that PMF forces remain deployed across all areas and continue to carry out important activities an
d operations, including locating some ISIS hideouts and explosive devices.
