Kirkuk: A force from the 16th Brigade and the Special Missions Regiment within the Northern and Eastern Tigris Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization, in cooperation with the security forces, carried out a joint security operation to cleanse and search the south of Kirkuk Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source said that the operation included searching the village of Sayada and the surrounding areas, and verifying citizens’ information with the aim of pursuing wanted persons and maintaining security and stability in the region.

He explained that this operation comes within the framework of the continuous efforts of the Popular Mobilization and the security forces to pursue the remnants of terrorism and monitor any suspicious movements in the liberated areas.
