Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received a condolence message from Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the victims of the hypermarket mall tragedy in Wasit Governorate. The Russian President conveyed his condolences to the President of the Republic, the Iraqi people, and the families affected by the incident, also wishing a speedy recovery for those injured.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President of the Republic also received a message of condolences from MP Atef Al-Maghawry, head of the parliamentary bloc of Tagammu Party in the Egyptian House of Representatives. Al-Maghawry, who is also a founding member of the Arab/Arab Peace Group and a member of the First Conference for Arab-Kurdish Cultural Dialogue, expressed his condolences to the President, the victims’ families, and the Iraqi people. He prayed for mercy and forgiveness for the victims and hoped for a swift recovery and safe return to their families for the injured.
