Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received the credentials of the new British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Sidqi, today at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad. The ceremony marks a significant step in the diplomatic relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein. During the meeting, President Rashid emphasized Iraq’s commitment to strengthening its relations with the United Kingdom, aiming to benefit both nations and their citizens. The President also extended his best wishes to Ambassador Sidqi for a successful tenure in Iraq.
In response, Ambassador Irfan Sidqi expressed gratitude to President Rashid for the warm reception. He reiterated his dedication to further developing the relationship between Iraq and the United Kingdom, highlighting the importance of cooperation and mutual understanding.
