Baghdad: President of the Republic Nizar Amedi received National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Aboudi at Baghdad Palace on Sunday to review the latest security developments across the country.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the presidency stated that the meeting focused on the evolving security situation. President Amedi emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination among Iraq’s security institutions and intensifying efforts to safeguard the country’s security and stability. He highlighted the need to uphold state sovereignty and enforce the rule of law in a manner that fosters a secure environment conducive to development and serves the country’s supreme interests. President Amedi also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Iraq’s security forces across all formations in fulfilling their national duties.

In his briefing, Qasim Al-Aboudi outlined the principal activities of the National Security Advisory and its efforts to coordinate with relevant security institutions. He discussed
the ongoing initiatives to follow up on matters related to national security and strengthen the state’s capacity to address current challenges.
