Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed the need to ensure the integrity of the elections and provide a safe environment that allows for broad participation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a presidential statement revealed that the President of the Republic met with the head of the National Approach Alliance (Nahj), Abdul-Sada al-Furaiji, on Wednesday in Baghdad. During the meeting, President Rashid emphasized the importance of protecting civil peace and promoting dialogue as the foundation for successful national projects, particularly the upcoming elections.
He highlighted that the country’s stability is a collective responsibility, necessitating sincere cooperation among all political forces. President Rashid’s call for transparent elections aims to ensure that every citizen can participate without fear, thereby strengthening the democratic process.
In response, Abdul-Sada al-Furaiji expressed his alliance’s support for the President’s efforts. He affirmed their commitment to enhancing political stability by fostering dialogue and understanding among various national forces, which is crucial for a successful electoral process.
