Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi has highlighted the significance of the upcoming 8th Baghdad Dialogue Conference as a crucial platform to address the challenges confronting Iraq and its surrounding region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidential Media Office released a statement following a meeting between President Amidi and Abbas al-Amiri, Director of the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad. During the meeting, al-Amiri extended a formal invitation to the President to attend the conference, which is scheduled for August 21 and 22, 2026, in Baghdad.

President Amidi stressed the importance of conducting the conference in light of current circumstances, underscoring the role of dialogue and discussions in tackling pressing issues. He expressed hope for the conference’s success in achieving its goals.
