Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, has received an official invitation from French President Emmanuel Macron to participate in the Nice Ocean Summit. The invitation was extended during a meeting at the Baghdad Palace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting featured the presence of the French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Durel, who conveyed greetings from the French President. President Rashid emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between Iraq and France to serve the interests of both nations. He also expressed his gratitude to President Macron for the invitation, expressing hope that the summit would yield beneficial outcomes for global environmental and economic concerns.

In response, Ambassador Durel reiterated France’s support for Iraq in maintaining its security and stability. He also praised Iraq’s constructive role in promoting peace within the region.
