President of the Republic Receives Credentials of New Non-Resident Ambassadors


Baghdad: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received today, at Baghdad Palace, the credentials of several non-resident ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary. The ambassadors included Alfred Mtiwazouka from the Republic of Zimbabwe, Ilir Hosa from the Republic of Albania, and Sevag Avedisan from the Republic of Cyprus.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a presidential statement highlighted that during his meetings with the new ambassadors, President Rashid emphasized Iraq’s efforts to develop and enhance bilateral cooperation with their respective countries. The President pointed out Iraq’s commitment to establishing balanced relations that focus on mutual cooperation across various fields. He also underscored the importance of resolving regional differences and tensions through dialogue and joint coordination to promote international peace and security.



Rashid conveyed his hopes for the ambassadors’ success in their diplomatic missions during the meetings, which were attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein. In response, the ambassadors expressed gratitude for the President’s support in facilitating their duties and voiced their countries’ desire to strengthen ties with Iraq across multiple sectors.
