Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met with the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, at Baghdad Palace to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and addressing the regional situation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on strategies to strengthen the partnership between Iraq and Russia. President Rashid emphasized the importance of finding a political resolution in Syria, aiming to maintain its territorial integrity and alleviate the hardships faced by its people. He highlighted the necessity of supporting international initiatives to achieve regional stability.

Ambassador Kutrashev conveyed greetings from the Russian leadership and reiterated Russia’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Iraq across multiple sectors to benefit both nations.
