President Rashid Stresses Citizen Satisfaction as Key to Municipal Success


Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid visited the Baghdad Municipality building on Monday, where he was received by its Mayor, Engineer Ammar Musa Kazim, along with several administrative and executive directors.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a presidential statement revealed that the President held a meeting with the Mayor of Baghdad and his deputies for administrative, technical, and municipal affairs, alongside the directors of the municipality’s departments. The discussion focused on the municipality’s work and strategies to ensure its completion aligns with the aspirations of Baghdad’s residents.



The President emphasized revitalizing Baghdad’s image by focusing on aesthetic enhancements and accelerating the execution of essential projects, including water and sanitation initiatives, infrastructure development, and sanitation services. He underlined the importance of adhering to established timelines to avoid any delays that might adversely affect citizens’ lives, highlighting that “Citizen satisfaction is the priority and the primary criterion for the success of work.”



Additionally, President Rashid advocated for the preservation of heritage buildings to maintain the city’s cultural legacy, reflecting its historical significance.



In response, the Mayor of Baghdad and the officials present expressed their gratitude for the President’s visit and reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities to citizens efficiently and without delay. The Mayor also provided an overview of the ongoing projects and the administrative support available to citizens through the municipality’s departments.
