Baghdad: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid has urged the adoption of the highest standards of professionalism and transparency for the upcoming general population census scheduled for next month.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President made these remarks during a meeting held at the Baghdad Palace with Diaa Awad Kazim, head of the Central Statistical Organization. The discussions centered on the final preparations for the upcoming general population and housing census. President Rashid emphasized the need for professionalism and transparency in the process to achieve the desired outcomes.
He further highlighted the significance of enhancing coordination and cooperation among the relevant parties. He encouraged a collaborative effort to ensure the success of the census, which is expected to have positive implications in the economic and development sectors.
Diaa Awad Kazim provided a briefing to the President on the progress made in the numbering and enumeration operations.
He assured that the field teams have completed their preparations, readying for the launch of the census stage.
