Prime Minister Al-Sudani Honors Iraqis on National Day with Heartfelt Message

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani congratulated Iraqis on the occasion of "Iraqi National Day." In a statement, al-Sudani expressed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all Iraqis, highlighting the significance of October 3 as a day marking the 93rd anniversary of Iraq's membership in the highest international body. This day, he noted, symbolizes the modern Iraqi state's identity and its rich historical, civilizational, and cultural heritage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani emphasized the resilience of Iraqis throughout their modern history, acknowledging the challenges and struggles they have faced, from the early days of the modern Iraqi state to their fight against dictatorship. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of hundreds of thousands of martyrs who fought for Iraq's independence and sovereignty.

Al-Sudani reaffirmed his commitment since taking office to safeguard Iraq's constitution, preserve its sovereignty, and protect its wealth. He emphasized efforts to achieve prosperity and economic strength for the Iraqi people and to ensure Iraq takes its rightful place on the regional and international stage.

He concluded his statement by honoring the memory of those who sacrificed for Iraq's freedom, independence, and sovereignty, wishing glory to Iraq and its people.
