New York:Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi is set to meet US President Donald Trump this evening, New York time.
According to Iraqi News Agency, government spokesperson Haider al-Aboudi confirmed that the meeting will take place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings. Al-Zaidi has already engaged in discussions with various heads of state and participated in a meeting led by President Trump with representatives from 13 countries in the region, including Iraq.
Al-Aboudi highlighted the Prime Minister’s packed schedule, emphasizing the economic focus of Al-Zaidi’s visit. The agenda includes promoting the Development Road project, which aims to establish alternative routes for marketing Iraqi oil globally, alongside discussions on energy supplies and partnerships in the energy sector.
