Baghdad: Government Spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi announced that Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi will visit the United States next week to attend the United Nations General Assembly meetings. The visit will include a meeting with US President Donald Trump and other heads of state.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Aboudi shared with Al-Iraqiya News that the Prime Minister’s visit will involve delivering Iraq’s address at the UN General Assembly. The agenda includes meetings with President Trump and other international leaders, emphasizing the strategic relations between Iraq and other nations.
Al-Aboudi highlighted that the Prime Minister will also attend a meeting of the US Chamber of Commerce, which is part of efforts to enhance economic and trade relations between Iraq and the US. He noted that September 30 is a significant date, marking a shift toward long-term economic cooperation with Washington.
