Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi has reaffirmed his commitment to diligently and sincerely work towards building a strong and stable Iraq. This pledge includes consolidating state authority, upholding the rule of law, and tackling corruption.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Zaidi made this declaration in a post on the X platform to commemorate the anniversary of the 1920 Revolution. He described the revolution as a significant national epic that played a crucial role in shaping modern Iraq and reinforcing its independence. The prime minister expressed pride and reverence in celebrating the 106th anniversary of the revolution, highlighting its importance in Iraq's history.
Al-Zaidi noted that the 1920 Revolution embodied the unity and determination of the Iraqi people. He emphasized the collective rise of the nation's sons, supported by the patriotic stances of the religious authority and its influential fatwas, which fueled the spirit of resistance and solidified the concept of national sovereignty.
In his commemorative message, al-Zaidi reiterated the government's commitment to combating corruption, achieving development and prosperity, and securing a dignified life for all Iraqis.
